Shift Scheduling

Is the ability to schedule shifts for your merchandising team to execute in stores.

There are 4 styles of scheduling shifts, designed to make it flexible and easy to use for managers who schedule work for their teams.

There are 4 types of shifts you can build in the Shift Scheduling App

  1. An Individual Scheduled Shift
  2. A Team Scheduled Shift
  3. An Individual Flex Shift
  4. A Team Flex Shift

 

The basics are:

A flex shift does not have a start time or an end time declared. Flex shifts times are only defined by a length of time for that shift. The merchandisers are flexible in when they visit the store, but are required to perform a shift with a certain length defined.

A scheduled shift does have a start time and an end time – With an expectation that the Merchandiser will work during those times only.

An Individual shift is where you assign the shift distinctly to one person on your team.

A Team shift is where you are assigning the shift to anyone who’s available, and who is assigned to that store in your system. This feature uses the ‘Any Available Worker’ user in the Shift Scheduling screen.

 

The Four Styles of Shifts:

An Individual Scheduled Shift

This includes assigning the shift to a particular member of your merchandising team, or an Individual.

This includes setting a start time, and an end time for that shift in the store.

 

A Team Scheduled Shift

This includes assigning the shift to anyone on your team who is available and who is assigned to the store where the shift is scheduled.

This includes setting a start time, and an end time for that shift in the store.

 

An Individual Flex Shift

This does not have a specific start time or an end time.

This type of shift is assigned to a particular member of your merchandising team, or an Individual.

 

A Team Flex Shift

This does not have a specific start time or an end time.

This type of shift is assigned to anyone on your team who is available, and who is assigned to that store where the shift is scheduled.
