The TAP Application integrates location-based services for providing information for travel events and store visits.
GPS data can be integrated into Analytics Dashboards to create data rich reports providing accurate tracking for your timekeeping and payroll.
In order to accurately track GPS coordinates, permission to access location is requested by the TAP application.
Typically the application prompts the user from a modal / alert box for location access in 2 separate scenarios:
1 . When the user initially opens the application
2. When the user attempts to log an activity
Users have the ability to deny access to location from the TAP app, and furthermore are allowed to prevent the application from launching an alert box further.
If the TAP Application’s modal to request permission is marked to never show again, users will have to manually change their permissions in the settings menu.
For iOS users:
1. Go to Settings
2. Scroll to and select “TAP Merchandising”
3. Select Location
4. Select “Always”
For Android users:
1. Go to Setting
2. Select “Apps” or “Application Manager”
3. Scroll to and select “TAP Merchandising”
4. Under “App Settings”, Select “Permissions”
5. Toggle the Switch for “Location” so that it is active
Android Users also have the ability to turn off their location services entirely – in this case, it doesn’t matter if you have given the TAP Application permission to your location, as that information will not be available to any application.
To enable Location Access on Android:
1. Go to “Settings”
2. Select “Connections”
3. Toggle “Location” On
