Which Mobile Devices and Cameras Are Supported by TAP Merchandising and VOLT?

The VOLT and TAP Merchandising apps support most iOS and Android phones and tablets.

Generally speaking, iPhone 5 and newer are compatible, and Android Version 6 and newer devices are compatible. Unfortunately, Windows Phone devices are not supported.
Some Alcatel phones may not be compatible with VOLT, regardless of Android version.

• To determine if your Android device is compatible, go to your phone’s Settings, scroll to the bottom and select “About Phone” or “About Device.” Find “Android Version” and verify it is 6.0 or higher.
• To determine if your iPhone or iPad is compatible, go to your phone’s Settings, select “General,” and then select “About.” Find “Version” and verify it is 10.x.x or higher.

Nearly all mobile device cameras are supported, provided they are able to automatically focus when scanning the QR code on your badge during check-in.

The following are recommended devices for using the TAP Merchandising App

These are simply recommendations; they are not required to run TAP Merchandising.

Apple – iOS Version 10 or Higher

• iPhone 7
• iPhone 8
• iPhone X

Android – Version 6.0 or Higher

• Google Pixel
• Google Pixel 2
• Samsung Galaxy s7
• Samsung Galaxy s8
• Tablet – Google Pixel C  (Brightest Device. Great Battery Life. Sturdy device that will not break easily)
• Tablet – Samsung Galaxy S2 (Very bright and sturdy device)
• Tablet – Samsung Galaxy S3 (Very bright and sturdy device)

Please avoid Alcatel phones, as they tend to be incompatible with VOLT.
